Nathan Fillion was born on March 27, 1971, in Edmonton, Alberta. He is the younger of two sons of retired English teachers Robert “Bob” Fillion and June “Cookie” Early. Fillion’s father’s family was part of the Quebec diaspora in Fall River, Massachusetts, while his mother had Norwegian and Finnish ancestry.
