Before Fame
Biodun grew up in a humble home, his dad was Ezekiel Kunle, his mom Esther. He wasn’t born rich, but he was born curious. After school, he became a Political Science lecturer at University of Ado Ekiti for four years. Then he switched to banking, working at Omega Bank (now Heritage Bank) until 1999. That’s when politics called him.
Career
His political story is wild. In 1999, he became Special Assistant on Parliamentary Affairs to Ekiti’s first elected governor. Then he was Chief of Staff, Commissioner for Integration, Head of Transformation Strategy, Commissioner for Budget, and Secretary to the State Government from 2018 to 2021.
He resigned from that last role to run for governor in 2022, and won. He served as governor from 2022 to 2026. Now, after the June 2026 election, INEC declared him the winner again, and he’s heading back to office for his second term.
