Andre Romell Young, born on February 18, 1965, widely known as Dr. Dre, is an American rapper, producer, and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Aftermath Entertainment and Beats Electronics, and a co-founder of Death Row Records. Dre rose to prominence as a member of N.W.A, playing a major role in shaping West Coast hip-hop and pioneering the G-funk sound.
Before fame
He moved from Vanguard Jr. High to Roosevelt Jr. High to stay away from gang-related issues. After his mother married Warren Griffin, Dre became the stepbrother of future rapper Warren G.

He gained early recognition as part of N.W.A alongside Eazy-E, Ice Cube, DJ Yella, MC Ren, and Arabian Prince. He later produced successful projects for major artists such as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and 50 Cent.
Family life
He married Nicole Young in May 1996, and they separated in 2020 after 24 years of marriage. He has four sons, Curtis, Marcel, Andre, and Truth, and a daughter named Truly.
