Millie Bonnie Bongiovi (née Brown; born February 19, 2004), better known by her stage name Millie Bobby Brown, is a talented British actress and film producer. She skyrocketed to global fame as Eleven in Netflix’s hit sci-fi series Stranger Things (2016–2025), earning two Primetime Emmy nominations along the way. In 2018, she made Time‘s list of the 100 most influential people in the world, and that same year, she became the youngest-ever UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
Before fame
Millie popped up in a few episodes of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland as young Alice. Born with partial hearing loss in one ear that eventually became total deafness, she faced early challenges. In 2015, she nearly gave up on acting after missing out on the role of Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones.
Trivia
Outside of acting, Millie trains as a boxer to stay sharp. She made guest appearances on Modern Family and Grey’s Anatomy in 2015, and starred in Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” music video, even jumping in to perform Cardi B’s part live at some of their concerts.
In 2019, she launched her own makeup and skincare line, Florence by Mills. Since 2022, she’s been taking online classes at Purdue University.
Family life
Though born in Marbella, Spain, Millie’s family relocated to Bournemouth, England, before she turned five, and they moved again to Orlando, Florida, in 2011. She has an older brother, Charlie, and two sisters, Paige and Ava.
Romantically, she dated singer Jacob Sartorius from late 2017 to mid-2018, followed by a stint with Romeo Beckham. In late 2019, she started seeing rugby player Joseph Robinson, but they parted ways after 10 months. Since 2021, she’s been with Jacob Bongiovi; they tied the knot in May 2024 and welcomed an adopted baby girl in August 2025.
