Khalif Malik Ibn Shaman Brown, born on June 7, 1993, better known as Swae Lee, is an American rapper and singer from Inglewood, California. Renowned for his versatile, reverb-rich vocals and genre-mixing style, he forms half of the Mississippi hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd, started in 2010 alongside his older brother Slim Jxmmi.

Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi dropped their debut single “We” in 2013.
Trivia
The duo’s track “No Flex Zone!” climbed to No. 36 on the US Billboard Hot 100, while hitting the top 20 on the US R&B and Rap charts.
Family life
Born in California, he was raised in Tupelo, Mississippi, before relocating to Atlanta, Georgia. In January 2020, his stepfather Floyd Sullivan was fatally shot, with half-brother Michael Sullivan pleading guilty to second-degree murder in October 2023.
Swae Lee welcomed a daughter with Brazilian model Aline Martins in 2020 (filing for joint custody in 2022) and a son with girlfriend Victoria Kristine that same year. He lives with ADHD and released Rae Sremmurd’s “ADHD Anthem (Too Many Emotions)” in 2023 as a tribute.
