Early life and education

Flynn played firefighter Kenny “Rambo” Baines in the LWT television movie London’s Burning in 1986. Due to prior obligations, he was unable to repeat his part when the movie inspired a series of the same name in 1988. He also had a little part in “The Monocled Mutineer” in 1986 as the soldier “Franny”. He portrayed the role of Freddie in the 1988 London underworld drama The Fear on ITV. Between the Lines, the police drama that won a British Academy Television Award (BAFTA) in 1992, featured him in six episodes as D.S. Eddie Hargreaves. in Ain’t Misbehavin’, a comedy-drama.
In 1999, Flynn played Tommy Cooper in Jus’ Like That, a film homage to the comedic magician written by John Fisher and directed by Simon Callow. He also played Bobby Charlton, a real-life soccer player, in the movie Best. After moving to Pembrokeshire and taking a little break from performing, Flynn directed and starred in the low-budget movie Rude Tales in 2007.

After almost ten years away from acting, it was announced in July 2010 that Flynn would be portraying Bronn in the HBO television series Game of Thrones, which is based on George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire books.In the kid’s television series Tommy Zoom, Flynn voices Daniel (the dog).
